Great Eastern NC BBQ

My favorite BBQ restaurant. I took Jamie & Bobby Deen there last week and they were delighted with the food, menu, Tommy's visit to our table.

The best BBQ & everything else is excellent food. Lived there 60 years & always the best. I live in myrtle beach now & can not find good BBQ here at all. Tommy does an excellent job.

This BBQ is so good, my Mom had it shipped out to CO for my birthday !! It arrived frozen & in a styrafoam container .....in perfect condition. It is unusually good -- not like the BBQ smothered in ketchup-y sauce that I find here out west. Not only is the BBQ great -- but the Brunswick Stew is unbelievable! Sweet, salty, & tangy all at the same time -- the perfect combination! Yes....Mom sent some stew, too !!! Great Birthday!!

Spectacularly bad

Tonight I brought an out-of-town guest to Bullock's for his first taste of eastern NC BBQ. He ordered a BBQ plate with fries and slaw, I ordered a plate of cold boiled shrimp with baked potato and slaw. I cannot imagine an easier order. After waiting more than 35 minutes for our food to arrive, his fries were cold and had to be sent back, my baked potato was just barely baked long enough to eat, and I was served seven shrimp for my meal. That's right - seven. I have had more shrimp in a shrimp cocktail. When asked by the cashier how our meal was, we were honest. She did not apologize or offer any compensation. I will not be back. Ever.

I was an employee there and the owner's there constantly said I was a drug abuser when I cinstantly told them i was not the only people they care about is themselves and money! They are racist and rude the owner herself Judy Bullock didnt even have the nerve to call me and let me go herself she had someone elese do it on top of the all there food if you get the family style and it is not all consumed by everyone at the table they put it back and serve it to other's! I dont know about you but NASTY!!!!!! I am sooooo upset how my job was handled I am sewing them and getting what is owed to me! I have contacted the eeoc and the department of eeoc said I have a claim and I will be sewing them you dont assum somthing you conferm it !!!!!!!
